Bible Institute

Nashville Deaf Bible Institute:

We believe it is the scriptural way to establish our training program under the ministry of our church, with the Pastor as the chief teacher. Metro Nashville Deaf Baptist Church will provide some classroom lectures and the online lessons. We issue diplomas — except to those men and women trained through our own institute (NDBI).

There will be a three- or four-year program of preparation for those planning on entering full time ministry. This includes classroom lectures and practical ministry experience.

We recommend a minimum of 2-3 hours of personal instruction per week. We will schedule Monday evening classes with a one-hour Sunday afternoon class to accomplish this if needed. This traditional method follows the “school year” calendar. We have also set up a “modular” program, where one subject is taught for a whole week — three to four hours per night.

We recommend that each year contain a balance of knowledge and practical instruction.

Our passion for raising up a generation of Christ-followers is what distinguishes us from other colleges. By offering a unique blend of biblical education and practical application, we prepare students to impact their world with the gospel. Whether you’re launching a career or just figuring out next steps, Nashville Deaf Bible Institute is the perfect place to build a biblical foundation for your future.

PHILOSOPHY

Word of Life Bible Institute as an educational institution has developed its entire program around a particular philosophy of education. This philosophy of education is based on three key words: Know (Study), Grow (Life), and Show (Ministry).

These three words characterize our approach to education.

Believers are commanded to study the Word of God, accepting it as their foundation and authority. Since discipleship and character-building are the responsibility of godly leadership, we need to build an institution that will educate students in biblical doctrine and conduct through the classroom and lifestyle of our staff. Our goal is to produce students who practice excellence in their Christian life, bringing glory to God.

2 Timothy 2:15: Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Colossians 1:9 For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;

10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

11 Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;

Colossians 2:6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:

7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.

8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
